Product description
Mid-century modern Danish design coffee table Code from the 1960s.
95 cm wide, 45 cm high.
Unmarked, but the manufacturer is France & Søn or CADO, with famous designers such as Paul Cadovius, Finn Juhl, Ole Wanscher, Peter Hvidt, and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen.
Beautiful teak tabletop with very light signs of use commensurate with its age; the edge is nicely beveled. The top of the tabletop was once neatly lacquered; there are some drips on the underside.
Below this is a floating grey wooden top supported by metal brackets and four black lacquered tapered legs. Given the patina of the grey paint on the metal brackets, this color and the lower shelf appear original to me, but I cannot be certain.
It is possible that the table was in production in this form during the CADO period, after Cadovius had taken over the firm France & Son.
