Product description
This classic fountain mask is a striking garden ornament, made from robust cast iron. It comes from Southern France (Pézenas).
The design shows a detailed face with an open mouth, characteristic of traditional gargoyles and fountain decorations. The mask is cast in iron and has developed a natural, rust-brown patina over the years. The sculptural details, such as the wavy locks of hair and the expressive facial features, are well preserved. The material and finish make it a durable object that is resistant to the elements. The ornament is in good condition, appropriate for its age and intended outdoor use. The rust formation contributes to the authentic, weathered character of the piece, without affecting its structural integrity. A small piece is missing on the left side, but it retains its character.
Measurements:
- 27 cm wide
- 32 cm high
- 9 cm deep
The mouth is 4 x 3 cm
Weight: 4.5 kg.
This fountain mask is excellent as a wall decoration indoors or outdoors. It can be integrated into an existing water feature, small fountain, or serve as a standalone sculptural element.
