Art lovers immediately recognize the work of Fon Klement (1930-2000). He is considered one of the most successful artists of his time, the second half of the 20th century. Interest in his work remains undiminished. This color relief woodcut bears the title 'Le Ciel Rouge' (The Red Sky) and is in very good condition. The work dates from 1985 and this is number 10 in a series of 70 copies. Hand-signed and featuring the double finger stamps so typical of Klement. Technique: Relief woodcut, also referred to as a masonite cut, referring to the brand/type of hardboard used. Klement printed this himself, hence the addition “self-printed”. Image dimensions: 50 x 50 cm. Framed in an aluminum interchangeable frame and fitted with a (thick) passe-partout. Please note: the glass is missing due to glass breakage! The passe-partout and the interchangeable frame show signs of age, but these are barely visible. They are, therefore, 40 years old. Photos are part of the description.
