An iconic design by Philippe Starck for the Italian manufacturer Flos, this table lamp is a paragon of modern design. The piece is known for its unique interplay of materials and light, combining a classic form with innovative production techniques. The Miss K lamp is an instantly recognizable design that has been a fixture in the design world since its introduction in 2003.
The lamp is made of high-quality plastics. The base and the outer shade are made of glossy black polycarbonate. When the lamp is off, the shade has a solid black appearance, but once switched on, it becomes semi-transparent, revealing a subtle play of lines. The inside of the shade features an aluminum coating that reflects the light, while an internal diffuser of opal polycarbonate ensures a soft, diffuse light distribution. The lamp is equipped with a dimmer on the cord, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted as desired.
