Product description
JIELDE 3-arm lamp mounted on a metal brake disc. This floor lamp, emblematic of its era, will add soul to your decor. It's ideal for underpinning a loft, workshop or industrial spirit, whatever the room in the house. It has been completely dismantled and cleaned. This Jielde lamp carries the nameplate bearing the Jielde name is located on the base of the bowl. Its original design dates back to the 50's and offers many advantages: - it is fully articulated and can be adapted to different working positions in the workshop, for example, this lamp can be oriented and swivelled in all directions. - Modular in size, it can be lengthened or shortened as a wall lamp, a 2-arm lamp, a large 4-, 5- or 6-arm reading light... - It is extremely resistant to major changes in temperature and humidity (it has lived in workshops for a long time :-) ). - It is full-height and takes up very little space on its base. Its shape allows for all manner of lighting fantasies. Its truly elegant design makes it an important part of any stylish decor. What's more, it's highly efficient, easy to install and extremely practical for reading. The switch is located near the lamp head. Electrified and in perfect working order. Dimensions: each arm measures 40 cm, weight: approx. 25 kg. Extremely stable. A little background information: Made in France, the Jielde workshop lamp was created in 1950 by Lyon-based mechanic Jean Louis Domecq (JLD, later Jieldé). He created an easy-to-handle, sturdy lamp for his workbench. He needed it to be easy to handle and swivel. He patents an original lamp with no wires in its joints to impede articulation. It exists in the form of a vice. From 1953 onwards, the lamp took on other shapes and diversified its range. From the 90s onwards, it was known as the Jielde Loft, and its number of arms multiplied to become a majestic floor lamp, or simply disappeared to become simple wall sconces...

Traces of classic use, the paint has a patina.
