For sale is an original Flexform Groundpiece sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform and manufactured in Meda, Italy. The Groundpiece is one of Flexform's most iconic designs, characterized by its exceptionally low, spacious seating and modular concept. A particular highlight of this configuration are the two original integrated Groundpiece shelving units, which serve as storage and armrests, giving the sofa its distinctive look. It shows only some normal, light signs of wear. The upholstery, cover, and characteristic shelving elements are in very good condition overall. The sofa's originality is documented by the existing Flexform and Meda/Italy markings; detailed photos are available. The Groundpiece was designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform and is still in production today. Comparable large configurations with the elaborate shelving elements command prices well into five figures when new. A beautiful Italian design classic with exceptionally generous seating comfort – ideal as a large lounge or living room set. Due to its size, collection is preferred.
