Product description
Lithograph of a pair of blue fish by Rémi Pesce (1930).
Hand-finished in an intense, textured blue.
Rémi Pesce's multiple art forms include sculpture, painting and lithography.
His subjects include fish (his namesake animal) and other animals, as well as libraries. All his subjects are highly poetic.
Influenced by certain New Realists, he fully embraced their ideals and means of expression.
Active in southern France (St Paul de Vence, La Colle-sur-Loup)
Here we have a pair of central fish giving each other a deep-blue kiss.
Signed in pencil lower right by Pesce and numbered in pencil lower right 29/65.
Additional dedication to the artist's friends from Liège: "Adrienne et Jacques en souvenir de la foire 2000 à Liège amicalement Rémi Pesce".
