The House of Finn Juhl 45 Armchair is a design by Finn Juhl. As the name suggests, the chair was designed in 1945. Almost 60 years later, in 2003, the design is relaunched by The House of Finn Juhl .
The 45 Armchair can safely be called a masterpiece. When it was presented at a furniture-making exhibition in Copenhagen, Japanese professor and design expert Mr. Noritsugu Oda the chair already 'the mother of all modern chairs'. It was one of the first designs to break with the design tradition of the time where the seat must conceal the frame. In the 45 Armchair, the seating elements are freed from the frame that supports these elements.
The space created between the wooden frame and the seat makes the design light and open. Combined with the organic shapes and sublime details, this gives a new kind of unique beauty. With the high comfort, the 45 Chair has a high appeal for all your senses.
The 45 chair has a walnut frame.
