The interactive light object "Fifty Fifty" was designed in 1965 by the Swiss artist Paul Talman and produced by Interaktives Licht Köln. This rare design classic of kinetic constructivism captivates with its innovative concept and clear, geometric design language.
The square lamp consists of an aluminum housing and features nine rotating plastic spheres. Each sphere has a white, translucent half labeled "ON" and a black, opaque half labeled "OFF." By manually rotating the spheres, individual, geometric light patterns can be created. The object can be used flexibly as a table lamp, floor lamp, or wall lamp.
This particular example is in unused, new condition and is offered in its original packaging. It is a highly sought-after collector's item that integrates perfectly into modern, minimalist, or Bauhaus-inspired interiors.
