Fernando Sesé (Castellón, 1958) - Painter and Printmaker
Fernando Sesé began his artistic career in 1982 with group exhibitions, and presented his first solo show two years later. His early works are influenced by Juan García Ripollés, particularly in their figurative expressiveness and vibrant plasticity. Over time, he developed a distinctive style, characterized by bold colors and a synthesis of nature, depicting landscapes, animals and organic forms with remarkable chromatic intensity.
In addition to painting, he excelled in the art of etching, a technique he perfected in the Netherlands at the workshop of Leendert van der Pool in 1982. A tireless artist, Sesé exhibits in galleries and art fairs in Spain and abroad. His artistic evolution takes him towards a neo-expressionism in which he combines dense impastos and fluid glazes, purifying landscapes-whether maritime or rural-to capture their essence and abstract structure, while preserving the tonal richness of their textures.
His works are in many collections and continue to be appreciated for their expressive power and material depth.
