ProfessionalProduct description
Tecno P55 Office chair – Giorgetto Giugiaro – 1980s
Office chair model P55, designed by the famous Italian automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro for the Italian manufacturer Tecno in the 1980s.
This piece perfectly embodies the spirit of Italian design of the era, with a bold aesthetic combined with functional and ergonomic design. Its silhouette is notably distinguished by its high, split backrest, an emblematic characteristic of the model, both sculptural and designed to offer good comfort of use.
The armchair features a bright red textile upholstery, contrasting with its metallic structure and black plastic armrests. It rests on a five-star swivel base in black lacquered metal, equipped with castors allowing good mobility.
Preserved in its original condition, the armchair shows a patina consistent with its age and use. The fabric is in a well-preserved condition and the structure remains solid and functional.
Note: the lift mechanism no longer works perfectly. The armchair no longer goes up, but it is possible to refill the gas. This does not prevent its use, but this point should be taken into account.
A beautiful piece of 1980s Italian design, recognizable by its modern materials, sculptural form, and color palette typical of the postmodern movement. An armchair that testifies to Tecno's expertise and the timeless character of Giugiaro's design.
11 available + 1 offered because the base is not original and modified = 12 in total.
