About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
The "Mushroom" armchair, designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1960, is one of the most emblematic pieces of modern design. It was one of Paulin's first experiments with new forms and materials, reflecting the cultural shift of the 60s towards a more relaxed, informal lifestyle. Inspired by the organic forms found in nature, Paulin sought to create furniture that moved away from traditional rigid structures, favoring soft, enveloping forms that were both functional and visually striking. This model is sold with footrest.
