About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Designed in 1966 by Henryk Lis at the Lower Silesian Furniture Factory in Poland, the FOX armchair takes its name from its designer — "Lis" translates to "fox" in Polish. It became the second most popular Polish armchair design of the 1960s, right behind the now-famous 366, and was a familiar sight in cafés and clubs across the country. Its slim turned-wood legs and tapered armrests give it a quiet, confident elegance that still holds up decades later.
This chair pairs two fabrics for extra character: a stain-resistant matte yellow velvet on the seat and a heathered fabric with a geometric pattern on the backrest. Compact and sturdy, it slots easily into a small living room or reading corner. Fully restored: the wood structure sanded and revarnished to a satin, wax-finished teak look.
Dimensions: H: 77 cm, W: 58 cm, D: 69 cm.
