This elegant classic bentwood chair is a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship: the backrest and armrests are formed from a single, curved, cantilevered frame, made from a single piece of wood.
An extreme attention to aesthetic minimalism, combined with the chair's organic shape, evokes a sculpture.
The architect Le Corbusier, who described this chair as having a noble character, used it in many of his buildings, notably in the Weißenhof complex in Stuttgart in 1927 and the La Roche house, from which it gets its nickname.
Superb condition, stable, no play, hand-caned in very good condition, wax finish.
Dimensions: H85 x W57 x D55 cm
Seat height: 46 cm
