Signed on front and back. This painting depicts an intimate scene in a structured, vibrant style characteristic of Faustino-Lafetat's post-Cubist period. Trained at the École du Louvre and the Beaux-Arts in Paris, Faustino-Lafetat developed a singular body of work nourished by his encounters (notably in the gypsy camps of his youth) and his many travels (Italy, Brittany, Toledo, Egypt, New York...). 📚 Quick bio: Born in 1917, Faustino-Lafetat explored the major currents of the 20th century while developing a personal approach to light and form.
