Small, cordless vase lamp made from vintage ceramic by Bay Keramik / Eduard Bay, designed by Bodo Mans.
The vase dates back to the 1960s/70s and features the typical expressive "fat lava" look with vibrant orange, a flowing glaze, and a matte black contrast. Depending on the light, the surface appears almost like molten lava.
It's complemented by a handcrafted cylindrical lampshade with a graphic fabric in orange, black, and cream – reminiscent of Op Art or 70s textile design. When switched on, it creates a very warm and cozy light.
The lamp is cordless and powered by a rechargeable LED bulb.
USB-C rechargeable, dimmable via remote control, and adjustable to various light colors. This makes it versatile for use on a sideboard, shelf, bedside table, or even outdoors on a balcony or patio.
Dimensions:
– Total lamp height: approx. 40 cm
– Vase: approx. 20 cm high
– Lampshade: approx. 20 × 20 cm
The vase was carefully repurposed into a lamp – without drilling any holes. This preserves the character of the ceramic.
A truly unique piece with a beautiful 1970s vibe.
