Private sellerProduct description
An iconic Wassily armchair, model B3, designed by Marcel Breuer and produced by the Italian Fasem. This specific piece, dated February 1988, is an excellent example of this Bauhaus masterpiece, known for its revolutionary use of steel tubes and floating planes. The construction consists of a frame of chrome-plated steel tubes, forming a continuous, sculptural line. The seat, backrest, and armrests are made of thick, black full-grain leather. The chair features an authentic Fasem stamp with the production date, confirming its origin and Italian craftsmanship. The overall condition of the armchair is good, consistent with its age. The leather has developed a subtle character over the years, while the chrome has largely retained its shine. The construction is solid and the stitching is intact, testifying to Fasem's durable quality. This B3 armchair is a timeless design icon that effortlessly fits into various interior styles, from modern and minimalist to industrial or eclectic. It is a statement piece that is both functional and brings a piece of design history into your home.
