After 4 years under the WIK (Artist Income Benefits Act) in Maastricht, the Netherlands, Chantalle Smeets has been active as a professional artist for 20 years. Together with Martiene Stevens (her partner and also an artist), they manage Kunsthuis Trobar Riemst (B). Chantalle Smeets has developed a completely unique style, which is visible in her sculptures made of bronze, stone, ceramics, and wood. Her source of inspiration is nature. She has exhibited at various galleries and castles (including sculpture gardens) in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, and her sculptures travel throughout Europe, America, and the Canary Islands.
