Unique, one-of-a-kind object
One piece from a set of 5 curved chests of drawers inspired by a vase filled with tulips. Each chest has its own unique curvature, shape, and height, and a different number of drawers.
All chests are constructed from residual and recycled materials. They are then finished with new bamboo veneer scraps. The drawers are aluminum and were originally used in the airline catering industry.
The techniques used are of furniture-making quality. Glued domino joints (flat dowels) create a strong and durable object. Detailing in the veneer finish, such as mitered joints, ensures a sleek, seamless finish. Produced sustainably and built to last forever.
