The Falcon armchair, designed by Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Møbler, is an iconic piece of Scandinavian design from the seventies. This specific example stands out due to its hammock-like construction and the use of natural materials, resulting in a timeless and recognizable silhouette. The chair is crafted with a curved wooden frame in a warm brown hue, combined with a canvas sling and a tufted leather cushion. The leather has a deep brown color and shows a distinct patina that testifies to the age and use of the furniture. The construction is held together by metal hooks and rings, which contributes to the industrial yet organic character of the design.
The furniture is in reasonable condition. The frame is still very neat and very stable, but the cushion is missing 2 buttons and I would personally replace it. The stitching also needs some attention, but it is still holding up for now.
For shipping, I will neatly disassemble the chair for you so that it fits well in a box
