About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
The Falcon armchair, designed by Sigurd Ressel for Vatne Møbler in the 1970s, is an iconic piece of Scandinavian design. This model is distinguished by its characteristic suspended silhouette, offering an aesthetic that is both light and sculptural. The frame is made of metal, supporting a sturdy canvas seat topped with a tufted black leather cushion. Leather straps and metal buckles ensure the seat's tension, demonstrating an ingenious and functional design. The dimensions and materials used reflect the ergonomic and sustainable approach typical of Norwegian production of that era. The armchair is in good overall condition, retaining its structural integrity and original character. The leather displays a natural patina that speaks to its history, while the metal elements and canvas maintain their functionality. This chair integrates harmoniously into a modern, minimalist, or vintage-inspired interior. It is ideally suited to a living room or reading nook, bringing a touch of timeless elegance and comfort.
