Rare, large Italian chest of drawers or dresser with twelve drawers. The wooden frame is finished with a delicate woven wickerwork pattern on the fronts and sides, which has developed a beautiful, warm patina over the years. The whole is framed by a refined gilded brass frame.
The top and fronts are finished with a thick, glossy transparent lacquer that protects the wickerwork while adding depth and shine to the material underneath. The brass profiles, legs, and details create an elegant contrast with the wood.
