Fabian
Fabian took his first steps in contemporary art in 1992. He artfully made various objects, sculptures and statues from scrap iron and various metals. Experimenting, learning and above all enjoying was the motto under which he worked and sold his works among a small public during that period.
That his artistic expressions did not go unnoticed became clear when in 1995 none other than the late Herman Brood appeared in his studio and from then on an intensive collaboration began. Herman visibly enjoyed Fabian's creativity and wanted to learn from him how to weld and create in metal.
The young artist enjoyed all the attention and support of Herman who taught him some of the finer points. Not long after, the so-called Herman Brood trophy was born. The meetings between the two gentlemen followed each other is rastempo after which Herman taught the young artist the intricacies of painting. The two worked together on countless canvases, with Fabian regularly taking care of the background. Fabian learned quickly and eagerly and both worked from numerous locations on Herman's artworks.
