Product description
Beautiful mid-century extendable dining table, model ‘Milan’, designed by Louis van Teeffelen and originally produced by the Wébé furniture factory in the 1960s. Due to minor construction differences, this specific version was likely commissioned by the sales organization Topform. In our workshop, the table has been carefully inspected and restored, preserving its characteristic patina. As a result, the solid teak frame once again displays the deep, warm color for which this period is so well known. The tabletop has been cleaned of signs of wear and refinished, giving it a fresh look. The top is slightly lighter in color than the frame, creating a subtle yet particularly beautiful contrast. The table stands firmly on its legs and feels very solid. The ingenious extension system operates smoothly, making it ideal for both small and large gatherings. Within a few seconds, you can transform from a four-person to a six-person table. The design is typical of Van Teeffelen: a clear and well-thought-out design with subtle organic lines and understated elegance. The table exudes Danish aesthetics, but Louis's hand is unmistakably present. That is why we affectionately call this Dutch Design. In short: a mid-century gem that is also exceptionally practical.
