Expressive sculpture of a human main figure with a small figure under his care, appearing to move against the wind. The form is constructed from flowing, backward-pulling lines, creating a sense of movement. The work may be a study. Artist's name unknown.
The sculpture shows a kinship with the futuristic visual language of artists such as Umberto Boccioni, in which dynamism and movement are central. From every angle, the silhouette changes, and different lines and tensions emerge within the form.
Executed in ceramic with a dark, matte glaze. The glaze shows small imperfections and minor damage here and there, which have been repaired as best as possible. All of this is visible in the photos.
