Description:
Expressive figurative sculpture featuring a highly abstracted human figure in a dynamic, acrobatic pose. The elongated limbs and the powerful diagonal composition give the work a pronounced movement and tension. The rough modeling and irregular surface treatment suggest a sculpture directly modeled in wax or clay, subsequently cast in metal. The figure is placed on a rough natural stone plinth, creating a contrast between the organic form of the figure and the massive base.
This type of expressive figuration is common in Northern European modern sculpture of the second half of the 20th century.
Provenance: Part of an architect's private collection.
Condition: Good condition with natural patina and light signs of use consistent with age.
