Product description
Expressive wooden sculpture of a reclining human figure on a tree trunk. The figure is stylized and composed of flowing, undulating lines, while the tree trunk is richly adorned with a detailed carved pattern.
The contrast between the smooth, abstract form of the figure and the more figurative woodcarving in the trunk gives the work a strong sculptural tension. From different angles, the interplay of lines changes and different details emerge.
The sculpture stands on a rectangular wooden base and is in excellent condition.
Artist unknown.
