Product description
Rare Selene executive desk by ORA Acciaio, produced in Italy in the 1970s. Part of ORA Acciaio's Selene office furniture series, this desk combines richly figured wood veneer with a sleek metal frame. The large rectangular top appears to float above the structure, while two hanging drawer units offer a total of five drawers. The contrasting materials and precise linear construction give the desk a distinct architectural and modernist character. The back is fully finished with beautiful matching veneer, allowing the desk to be placed freely in a room rather than just against a wall. The desk still bears the original ORA Acciaio, Roma-Pomezia manufacturer's label, and the Selene series is documented in ORA Acciaio advertisements and catalogs from that era. Dimensions (DxHxL): 91x76x191 cm. Good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age. The keys are missing.
