Beautiful, sleekly designed wall object by the Dutch glass artist Peter Verbeek. This work, titled "Van Doesburg Pastel Nr. 3", is a minimalist homage to the iconic geometric design language of De Stijl and Theo van Doesburg.
Features and Technique:
The artwork is constructed from clean-cut, polished panels of colored glass in a refined pastel and earth tones palette (including grey-blue, terracotta, ochre yellow, and deep red). These panels are mounted with utmost precision on a high-gloss white glass base plate (gloss on gloss white), creating a stunning sense of depth and a luxurious appearance.
Edition and Authenticity:
This is a very exclusive and limited edition. Although the front displays a serial number, the original physical certificate on the back confirms that only 50 copies of this exact glass-on-glass composition were produced worldwide. This specific work is number 02/50, a very early and sought-after piece from the series.
The object is handwritten and numbered on the front. On the back is the original, hand-signed certificate from Peter Verbeek, dated May 2008.
