About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This exclusive display cabinet by the French furniture maker Rondot Paris is a refined example of classic craftsmanship. The design combines an elegant, curved cornice with richly detailed wood carving, giving the piece a distinguished appearance. The cabinet is crafted from walnut wood, with the veneer laid in a striking diamond pattern to emphasize the natural grain of the wood. The large glass door features beveled glass, ensuring a clear presentation of the contents.
Inside, there are several wooden shelves (three of which were added later for functional use) and a drawer for extra storage space. The base of the cabinet features a hidden extra drawer. The cabinet is finished with copper-colored hardware and a matching key. The warm brown tone of the walnut wood contributes to the timeless character of the furniture. The display cabinet is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The wood has developed an authentic patina that underscores the historical value of the piece. The construction is sturdy and the drawers function properly. This piece of furniture comes into its own perfectly in a classic or eclectic interior. It offers a stylish platform for displaying books, tableware, or collectibles in a living room, dining room, or study. However, it can also be restored to its original state as a very chic wardrobe (as it was likely originally used in a high-end clothing store) if a hanging rod is installed in the existing original brackets.
