Product description
An extraordinary pair of sculptural table lamps by Costantini Murano, entirely handcrafted in iridescent Murano glass in 1990. Each lamp is signed Costantini Murano on the base, confirming its artistic origin and craftsmanship.
The lamps feature imposing hand-blown glass bodies in delicate shades of amethyst and violet, enhanced by spectacular iridescent reflections that reveal subtle hues of blue, pink, green, and gold depending on the angle and intensity of the light.
Their surfaces display an elaborate composition of glass threads and ribbons applied while molten, intertwining to create a striking three-dimensional, almost naturalistic structure. An intricate, irregular network of dark glass with mesmerizing metallic iridescence envelops each lamp like an organic framework, creating a fascinating contrast with the transparency and luminosity of the underlying glass.
The bases, also entirely handcrafted in glass, feature a succession of concentric glass coils, providing visual solidity and sculptural continuity to the overall composition.
Created in 1990 by Costantini Murano as unique, one-of-a-kind works of art, these two lamps were never part of a serial production. Their exceptional craftsmanship, free-form shapes, and natural variations between the two pieces emphasize their exclusivity. No other identical examples exist, making this pair exceptionally rare and unrepeatable.
More than mere lighting fixtures, these lamps are genuine illuminated sculptures, capable of enhancing sophisticated contemporary interiors, refined design spaces, and prestigious collections dedicated to 20th-century Murano art glass.
Please note that each piece is made and finished entirely by hand by master craftsmen, making each piece unique. Therefore, slight variations in size, glass hue, color distribution, bubbles, inclusions, and finishes are normal and characteristic of the craftsmanship. These variations do not constitute defects, but rather testify to the authenticity, uniqueness, and excellence of the Murano glassmaking tradition.
