Product description
This Erik Chambert cabinet is a striking example of 1920s Art Deco furniture design. The piece is defined by its rich wood veneer and the distinctive, highly detailed lion-head/sfinx feet that anchor its presence.
Constructed primarily from wood, the cabinet features a warm brown finish accented by subtle horizontal inlay lines. The exterior presents a clean, streamlined silhouette typical of the era, while the interior reveals a highly functional arrangement of shelves and a bank of five drawers. The ornate, sculpted feet provide a dramatic contrast to the otherwise restrained geometry of the main body.
The cabinet remains in good condition, retaining the character and patina expected of a piece from this period. The interior drawers operate smoothly, and the original hardware is present.
This substantial storage piece would serve as a commanding focal point in a dining room or study. Its blend of classical motifs and modernist lines makes it a versatile addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
