Many of his creations were lost in a recent fire. These earlier works are rare, including the 16-color print, number 2 of 100, from 1988! Toebosch's work primarily features scenes from his own fairy tales, myths, and legends. Frequently recurring elements include hourglasses, angels, and texts. To compensate for these weighty subjects (death is also a theme), Toebosch often adds a touch of humor to his work. A beautiful silkscreen print behind glass in a neat frame, and it has held up well over the years.
