Encaustic (wax and pigments) painting by a Berlin-based artist, framed, from 2021.
Since 2021, the artist has been working with this technique, which dates back to Greco-Roman antiquity. The technique was once widespread but was superseded by tempera painting.
It was only with the advent of electric wax melting devices that this painting regained popularity through artists such as Jackson Pollock and Jasper Jones.
In this painting, the artist explored the luminosity and transparency of the colors.
This unique transparency was achieved through the application and removal of paint.
