Product description
This vintage enamel road sign, produced by Cataphotes Paris, is a classic example of French utilitarian design. It features the iconic children's warning motif, with two stylized figures holding hands, rendered in a striking contrast of deep blue and bright yellow.
Made of enameled metal, this square piece measures 70 centimeters on each side. The enamel technique ensures lasting color and a glossy finish, characteristic of road signs from this era. The inscriptions "CATAPHOTES. PARIS" and "Email LEROY-POUGIN. PARIS" are clearly visible, attesting to its origin and manufacture.
The overall condition reflects its history and outdoor use, with an authentic patina that adds to its industrial character. The structure remains solid, although the surface shows signs of its exposure to the elements over time.
Ideal for industrial or vintage-style decor, this sign can be hung in a loft, garage, or eclectic living space. It brings a touch of French urban history and a colorful focal point to any interior.
