Beautiful Italian modernist set consisting of an oval catchall and its matching bowl made of cast solid brass. Piece signed Giò Lanciani and bearing the original label “MC – Laiton Marc / Ottone fuso in terra”, indicating high-quality Italian craftsmanship. The design is understated and sculptural, typical of Italian modernism from the 1970s, with a stunning original golden patina that adds a lot of character. The set can be used as a catchall, decorative object, jewellery holder, desk accessory, or small centrepiece. It has a very nice presence due to the substantial weight of the brass and the quality of the casting. Approximate dimensions: Tray: ± 23.5 cm in length. Bowl: ± 8.5 cm in diameter. Vintage condition with slight patina and signs of age consistent with its years, contributing to the charm of the object. Original labels are present.
