Neoclassical bronze lamp base, likely created in the 19th century (circa 1850-1900) in France or England, reflecting the contemporary taste for Greek and Roman architecture.
The fluted column topped with a Corinthian capital adorned with acanthus leaves testifies to the enthusiasm for antique motifs that characterized the Empire style and the Victorian period.
Fully restored by a professional lampmaker.
Gold-tone socket cover + black E27 socket, E27 4W amber vintage LED bulb, gold-tone cable, switch, and plug (2m length). The gold-tone socket cover can be replaced free of charge with a standard gold-tone socket, allowing for the use of a lampshade.
Waxed with microcrystalline wax to protect the bronze from oxidation.
