Aluminum is a material that does not hide signs of wear but registers them. The scratches and matte spots on this chair are traces of interaction and regular use.
Unlike lacquered or upholstered furniture, aluminum ages visibly and evenly. This contributes to a patina that gives the object a more lived-in appearance without compromising its functionality. It gives the object a lived-in character and emphasizes the honest use of materials for which Emeco is known.
