About EllesBB
Direct subjects from her environment appear on the canvas, she chooses acrylic together with mixed media. She prefers to translate her recent predilection for abstraction with grand gestures on large canvases, which are 'cut' or folded where necessary. The way in which she applies structures is striking, the color choices harmonious. In summary, her works illustrate the importance she attaches to innovation, use of color and technique.
Although she does not paint realistically, she is guided by nature and music. The love for jazz music is, as it were, propagated in her paintings. Abstract expressionism appeals to her because of its freedom and spontaneity. Yet she also likes to paint objects that balance between abstraction and figuration in which 'movement from the creations' appears.
What she is looking for above all is fun in her work and making beautiful things, which she places in her environment.
