About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This life-size sculpture depicts an elegant Italian greyhound, crafted from ceramic. The piece captures the graceful and aristocratic posture of the breed and exemplifies the rich tradition of Italian ceramic craftsmanship.
The figure is made of glazed ceramic and has a total height of 74 cm. The coloring is predominantly a glossy white, emphasizing the dog's slender musculature and delicate features. A braided collar in orange and brown tones, as well as the dark green, cushion-like base on which the figure sits, provide contrasting accents. The expressive, dark eyes give the sculpture a lively presence.
The condition of the sculpture is very good and consistent with its age. The glaze is intact and shows the characteristic luster typical of such ceramic works. The overall appearance is clean and well-maintained, indicating careful handling over the years.
As a striking decorative object, this ceramic greyhound is ideally suited for use in an entrance area, a living room, or a classic study. It seamlessly integrates into Hollywood Regency, classic, or eclectic design interiors and serves as a sophisticated eye-catcher.
