A refined vintage brass half-bust, depicting a young woman with an elaborate updo. The work, recovered from a stately villa in Caserta, is a fine example of decorative sculpture from the mid-twentieth century (circa 1950).
The sculpture is notable for the sweetness of the face, the serene downward gaze, and the attention to detail, particularly in the rendering of the hair and the floral decoration on the neckline.
