This is the iconic E-1027 side table, originally designed by Eileen Gray and manufactured by ClassiCon. The design, named after the villa of the same name on the French Riviera, is recognized worldwide as one of the most important pieces of furniture of the twentieth century.
The table consists of a height-adjustable frame of chrome-plated steel, combined with a round top of clear crystal glass. The distinctive C-shaped base allows the table to be slid seamlessly over a bed or armchair. The diameter of the glass top is 52 centimeters, while the height is adjustable starting from 64 centimeters.
The object is in good condition and retains its original shine and structural integrity. The adjustment mechanisms function properly, and the glass is clear and undamaged.
This modernist classic adds a refined architectural element to both contemporary and classic interiors. The table functions perfectly as a bedside table, a flexible side table next to a lounge chair, or as a standalone sculptural object in a living space.
