Adjustable side table E1027 by Eileen Gray, Vereinigte Werkstätten, Germany (marked). Chromed steel frame, adjustable in different heights, smoked glass tabletop. This table was designed in 1927 and named after the house E 1027 ‘Maison en Bord de Mer’ that Eileen Gray built for herself and her partner, Jean Badovici. The code name comes from: E stands for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J is the 10th letter of the alphabet), 2 for B(adovici) and 7 for G(ray). 1970-80s. In good condition with some signs of use/age; a few small rust spots and a scratch on the glass. Total height 81-73 cm, tabletop height 63-55 cm, diameter 52 cm.
