This special rug is a collaboration between the Danish manufacturer Ege Axminster A/S and the estate of artist Paul Klee. The design is based on Klee's work 'Florentinisches Villenviertel' from 1926 and is part of The 20th Century Collection - Ege Art Line.
The rug is crafted from pure virgin wool and measures 140 by 200 centimeters. The multicolored palette features warm tones such as orange, red, green, and turquoise, which together form an abstract and geometric pattern typical of Paul Klee's style. The original label on the back confirms its origin and production in Denmark.
The rug is in very good condition and has beautifully retained its vibrant colors and texture. The wool pile is full and offers a comfortable texture.
I have not used the rug myself; it has only hung on the wall for decorative purposes.
If you have the opportunity to visit before purchasing, you are more than welcome at my home in Rotterdam.
