Product description
The Small Dot Pattern by Ray and Charles Eames from 1947 as upholstery fabric in the color Charcoal (005), manufactured by Maharam.
I am selling two fabric panels here, each 2.55m x 1.35m in size and hemmed.
The fabric is heavy (500g per running meter), densely woven in a twill weave and consists of 71% cotton (the remaining 29% are polyester). The result is a firm and soft twill with a pleasant feel, very well suited for upholstery work or simply as curtains.
The pattern was woven using the Jacquard technique, so the back of the fabric appears as a negative, i.e., a black background with a dark gray pattern.
The fabric is used and has been washed several times, accordingly showing slight signs of wear.
