Product description
La Fonda chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, circa 1970s. The chair features an original fiberglass shell with a brown fabric-covered front and stands on the characteristic La Fonda base made of lacquered aluminum. The La Fonda base was originally developed for the famous La Fonda del Sol restaurant in New York and forms an elegant and stable base that contrasts beautifully with the organic shape of the shell. The visible fiberglass structure on the back is characteristic of the early production of these Eames chairs. The chair is in good vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with its age.
