Complete vintage Dyrlund dining set
Danish design dining set consisting of an extendable dining table and 6 dining chairs.
Dating: 1960s/70s
Brand: Dyrlund
The table is made of solid wood. The table can be used as a round table with a diameter of 120 cm or extended, in which case the table is 170 cm long. It is important to note that the table has been used in the oval shape for over 20 years and that the mechanism for reducing the table size can be stiff (not tested). The major advantage of this, however, is that all parts are the same color.
The chairs have a seat height and depth of 43 cm and a total height of 80 cm. Width 50 cm.
Condition: the overall condition is good, with signs of use appropriate for its age: slight discoloration due to sunlight, some spots and scratches, but no striking issues that you would not expect on a 60-year-old table. 1 slightly larger spot on the middle section (see photo). The chairs are in comparable condition and are still quite sturdy.
The chairs have the original Dyrlund sticker under the seat.
The chair upholstery is not original, but is generally in neat condition. A few chairs have some small stains. The seats can be removed, which is convenient for reupholstering, should you wish to do so.
The table has no brand or serial number, which is common with the older models of this table.
Please note! The photos show the most noticeable signs of wear, intended to give an impression of the overall condition. The set is 60 years old and has already had quite a life :)
It is worth mentioning that the table is very heavy and requires at least 2 strong people to lift. The legs can be unscrewed for easier transport.
