This wall lamp is a design by Louis Kalff for Philips, produced in the 1950s. The NX 14 model is a representative example of post-war Dutch Design, where functionality and a progressive aesthetic come together. The fixture is crafted from metal with a black and brass-colored finish, combined with a shade of textured satin glass. The glass features a subtle grid pattern that ensures a diffuse and atmospheric light distribution. The lamp is equipped with a cord with an integrated switch.
The item is in good vintage condition, commensurate with its age and use. The original finish and characteristic patina have been preserved, contributing to the authentic appearance of the piece.
This wall lamp comes into its own perfectly in a Mid-Century Modern interior or as a subtle vintage accent in a contemporary space. The design lends itself well to placement in a hallway, living room, or as mood lighting next to a bed.
It will be carefully packed for shipping to prevent damage.
