In good condition, a unique 80s adjustable chair by Dutch designer Gijs Boelaars, the Lundi-sit produced for Lundia. This design chair has been out of production for years.
This chair is demountable and adjustable in different heights. It is more a chair for adults than for children as a high chair, because then it should have been secured for very young children.
The Lundi-sit chair is considered the precursor to Stokke's Tripp Trapp chair. It was included in the exhibition Dutch furniture 1980-1983 in the Bouwcentrum. This object is an authentic Dutch design by Gijs Boelaars for Lundia, dating from the 80s. It concerns the characteristic 'Lundi-sit' model, a chair that stands out for its sculptural and minimalist design.
The chair is made of plywood with a clear lacquer finish, which accentuates the natural wood grain and the layered structure of the material. The design is based on an ingenious plug-in system, allowing the different parts to fit together without screws or glue. The high, tapered backrest and the round seat create a striking silhouette, while the cut-outs serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose.
This chair is in good, used condition, consistent with its age. The construction is solid and the original finish has been preserved, giving the furniture an authentic character. The patina that has developed over the years contributes to the vintage appearance of the object.
