Droog is a Dutch design foundation based in Amsterdam. Droog is an internationally renowned design label and one of the best-known exponents of Dutch Design. Famous designers who have collaborated with Droog include Hella Jongerius, Marcel Wanders, Tejo Remy, Richard Hutten, Henk Stallinga, and Jurgen Bey.
• Composition: The lamp consists of a bundle of exactly 85 black cords, fittings, and light bulbs.
• The terminal blocks: The 85 cords come together at the ceiling in a large metal ring where the terminal blocks form the central connection. This raw, unpolished detail is typical of the 'dry' humor and no-nonsense style of the Droog Design collective.
The lamp in 1 photo is the lamp in question. The other lamp is an example from the internet. It has been stored in the attic for a long time, which is why the cords are not perfectly straight, but this is easy to straighten yourself.
